Self-guided float at Knight's Ferry Class II "Fast"

 

GENERAL
This scenic section of the Stanislaus River is popular with both experienced and inexperienced paddlers due to its outstanding mix of wildlife and variety of topography. Small rapids all along the trip add to the excitement. This 4-5 hour float trip is approximately 8 miles long. Ideal for families, youth groups, and company or club outings.

 

MEETING TIMES
Trips are available daily April-October by reservation. Daily meeting times vary from 8:30AM-11:30AM on weekends. Weekday meeting times are usually 11AM unless otherwise noted. Guests should check in 10-15 minutes prior to their trip.

 

MEETING PLACE
Trips meet at the US Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Information Center (weekdays) and at Knights Ferry Rafters parking lot (weekends) which is located approx. 1 mile off Hwy 120 in the small town of Knights Ferry which is located 12 miles east of Oakdale, CA. Driving times are: From SF-2:15, Stockton-55 min., Modesto-35 minutes.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
We recommend that all guests be basic swimmers and be at least 6 years of age.

 

RESERVATIONS
*Advance reservations are highly recommended. *Most weekend dates book out in advance. *Last minute reservations are accepted when space permits. *A 50% advance deposit will hold your reservation until 14 days prior to our trip. Full payment is due at that time.

 

RATES
Your rental fee includes paddles, life vests, boat(s), and equipment pick-up. Call for rates and discounts. RETURN SHUTTLES - INCLUDED

 

SAFETY
All participants are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life vest that we provide. Participants should be able to swim and be unafraid of water.

 

WHAT TO BRING
You will get wet so bring an extra set of clothes, shoes, and towel to be left in your vehicle. The following items are recommended for your trip: sneakers, bathing suit or shorts, hat, food, drinks, small ice chest, and a 6' length of rope to secure your gear to the boat. A windbreaker is recommended for cool or rainy days.
